YALOVA KENT ORMANI

Urban Forest (Kent Ormanı) was arranged in 2005 and opened for public use.
Yalova Urban Forest is located in Erikli Plateau, within the Teşvikiye Town.
Visitors coming from Yalova can follow the Çınarcık–Teşvikiye route, while those coming from Armutlu, Gemlik, or Bursa can reach the forest through the asphalted road passing through the villages of Hayriye, Selimiye, and the Delmece Plateau.

The forest, covering an area of 95 hectares, is a unique natural site featuring waterfalls worth seeing, hiking trails, children's playgrounds, sports areas, picnic spots, and a variety of trees. It is a rare place where you can enjoy all the beauty nature offers accompanied by birdsong — and it's all free of charge.

The area is predominantly covered with beech, black pine, and oak, which are the main forest trees. You can also find smaller populations of chestnut, hornbeam, maple, plane tree, alder, linden, wild cherry, and wild plum.

Wildlife in the area includes species such as bear, wild boar, fox, squirrel, lizard, jackal, badger, hedgehog, rabbit, turtle, snake, wood pigeon, quail, snipe, hawk, partridge, and woodpecker.

Transportation

It is located 29 km from Yalova and is accessible via a fully asphalted road.
